A recital to remember

Kittu Sir's disciples provided a rich display of their talents, commitment and love for their Guru and the institution during the 3-day dance festival that commemorated the legendary Rukmini Devi and Chanu Panikkar, in March 2014. Soulful words from a dear disciple

"I found a great Guru, to whom I'm infinitely grateful for his teachings, not only in the dance skills and dance theory, but also teachings about following the sincerity of heart, about being Good in life and trying to pursue always Good, Beauty, Honesty, hard work and determination. Kittu Sir, during my stay in Kalakshiti has taught me the best and the most he has could, gifting me of his time, knowledge with generosity and real devotion to real Art, the art that comes out from
the heart and the soul."

Gentle guidance for the formative years

Most students start at a very young age, imbibing dance skills as well as life skills from the master. They consider Kalakshithi as their home, running there for a word with their Guru and a chat or a shared giggle with their friends. The relationships formed here are very strong... and often stay so for life.
